About Memorial Plaques
Memorial Plaques need to last for a very long time. We offer a variety of durable metals for your memorial requirements. You can use Cast Bronze, Stainless Steel or Granite for the best memorial long lasting solution.
Cast Bronze memorial has the longest life span (and is the Dearest) 100 years plus. It requires no maintenance. Cast bronze plaques have raised letters on a sunken background. There is a small choice of background colours. Cast Bronzw Plaques are the more expensive choice
Stainless Steel memorial plaques the next best choice. 100 years plus. It requires no maintenance.
It is more cost effective than cast bronze. The metal has a brushed finish and the engraving is paint filled. The paint may eventually dry, crack and fall out but it can still be read and can be re-filled with paint.
Brass memorial plaques is also a very long lasting metal but it does tarnish relatively quickly and so can look unsightly after a period of time which depends on the harshness of the environment. (Usually within 2 years). The metal has a brushed finish and the engraving is paint filled. The paint may eventually dry, crack and fall out but it can still be read and can be re-filled with paint.
Granite memorial plaques are ideal but the customer will normally supply the granite and we then sand blast engrave and colour fill it. Granite lasts for at least 100 years. The paint may fall out eventually but could be refilled. We suggest dark granite with little contrast flex through it. A dark granite like this is ideal as if the paint does come out the etching has a contrast if the surface is polished. In fact you don’t have to paint fill a dark granite.
Pet Memorials can use all of the above materials with the added option of a plastic outdoor laser engraving material called Laser Max. It comes in imitation Brass and Stainless Steel finish and can be made to any size. Laser Max has an outdoor life rating of around 7 years.
Rock Memorials are often used for pet memorials and we can engrave most rocks. They are sand Blast engraved and paint filled and are popular for pet memorial plaques.
