Internal Laser Engraving (Sub-surface engraving) is a high-precision laser process that embeds detailed designs or 3D images inside the crystal without altering the outer surface. Focused laser pulses create micro-fractures within the crystal, forming a suspended image made up of thousands of tiny points. The result is a smooth, flawless exterior with a striking internal design.

This technique works best on optical crystal due to its clarity. It supports both 2D and 3D engravings—2D for flat imagery and 3D for depth and realism. Sub-surface engraving is ideal for creating premium awards, personalised gifts, and impressive corporate pieces.

It’s not possible to add colour inside the crystal, but you can add colour to the outside of the crystal, such as a translucent background colour or pattern, to enhance the piece.

Light translucent colours are best to ensure the internal engraving is still strikingly visible.

Each product page displays the estimated production time. We understand that sometimes there is a tight deadline, so if you need it sooner, please contact us; we can usually accommodate your request.

In most cases, delivery is overnight to central city metropolitan areas and large regional destinations. Some outer region areas may take a few days to deliver.

For 2D Images – Any flat image will do. png, jpeg, ai, pdf etc

For 3D Images – A full 3D image graphics file, such as an OBJ file. Or pictures of the item from different sides

For Partial 3D – A flat image that can be curved into a 3D representation

Before production begins, you’ll receive an artwork proof to review and approve, ensuring you're completely happy with the layout. We include up to two rounds of revisions at no extra cost; additional changes beyond this may incur a small fee.

• The delivery address
• Graphic file for artwork
• Any variable engraving details – in a spreadsheet with separate columns 
• If engraving details aren’t ready, please let us know when you will be available so we can plan production.
