Letterbox Engraving Service

Our letterbox engraving service provides a clean, durable, and professional solution for adding names, numbers, or logos to any style of letterbox. Using advanced laser or sandblast techniques, we deliver crisp, precise markings that withstand outdoor conditions without fading or peeling.

Whether it’s a single residential letterbox or a large run for strata, commercial, or council projects, we can engrave directly into powder-coated, stainless steel, or aluminium surfaces. For maximum impact, engraved areas can be paint-filled with high-quality epoxy enamel, including PMS colour-matching for branding or design consistency.

With more than 30 years of engraving experience, our team ensures your letterbox is finished to the highest standard—sharp, legible, and built to last.

About Powder Coated Surface Engraving

We can engrave your powder-coated product, whether it be a small or large item, such as an engraved Letter Box front, a large signage panel, a fabricated item needing branding or markings, or even powder-coated bollards.

Do you provide the powder coating surface service?

No, we do the engraving part, you get the item powder-coated yourself.

How big an item can you engrave

Almost any size. We have a 1200mm wide automated sandblast engraver, so 1200 x  any length. If your panel is wider than 1200mm, we do have other tools to cater for this. We need to determine what you want engraved so we can provide the best solution.

What type of powder coating can be engraved

Almost any powder-coated surface can be engraved with excellent results. In rare cases, certain plastic-based powder coatings may leave a slight heat residue during the process, but this is uncommon.

To ensure the best outcome, we always recommend running a test on your product before full production. Providing us with a sample piece allows us to confirm that the coating responds as expected and ensures your final engraving meets the highest standard of clarity and durability.

How do you engrave powder costed surfaces?

We use either laser or sandblast engraving. Mostly, we used sandblast engraving. This is done using a photopolymer stencil, which creates an exact and fine detail mask for quality engraving.

Once the engraving is done, we normally paint and fill the area to any colour requirement using high-quality epoxy enamel.

How deep do you engrave powder coated surfaces?

We engrave just below the surface, which is sufficient for paint filling and an engraved look. We don't go all the way through, as this would interfere with the continuous bond onto the metal, which may then cause a weakening of the bond. Always take special care of your products.

Is it possible to engrave complex designs or images?

Absolutely. We can etch text, logos, detailed artwork, and even photographic images into powder-coated surfaces.

Can you match brand colours?

Yes, we offer PMS colour matching to achieve accurate brand or project-specific colours.

How long does it take to have a powder coated metal engraving done?

The timeframe depends on the complexity and volume of the job, but our team works efficiently to meet your deadlines. On average, most powder-coated engraving projects are completed within 5–10 business days. If you have an urgent requirement, let us know and we’ll do our best to prioritise your order.
