Traffolyte
Traffolyte was once a brand of multi-layered phenolic plastic used for engraving, where each coloured layer revealed a contrasting shade when engraved. It was ideal for name tags, labels, and signs, being inexpensive and widely used.
However, phenolic dust is now known to be hazardous, and modern, safe ABS plastics, such as LaserMax, have replaced it. Many still use the term “Traffolyte,” but the material sold today is actually engraving laminate, such as LaserMax.

LaserLights
LaserLights engraving material is an exterior-grade laserply, which is very thin at 0.10 mm thick. It is flexible for curved surfaces and extremely durable, with excellent exterior properties including resistance to water, solvents, abrasion, and extreme temperatures.
LaserLIGHTS' surface durability is about twelve times greater than that of a conventional micro-surfaced engraving plastic.
It is used for labelling when the job requires a low-profile label that is durable and weather-resistant—used for applications such as electrical labels, boat block and instrument panel labels, compliance plates, and domestic labels.

TrophyFlex
TrophyFlex is specially designed for clean, crisp laser and engraved plates and labels. It is what we use for trophy plate and medallion engraving. It is for indoor use only. It comes in a brushed gold, silver and bronze/copper finish.
While it features a durable micro-surface and only 0.38mm (.015") total thickness, this adhesive-backed substrate has exceptional durability and integrity for projects on curved or flat surfaces, trophy engraving plates, plaques, ID plates and labels. For ID plates, be aware that it does not have a super durable surface, so they are not suitable for harsh conditions.
It is a very thin material that can be used on curved surfaces, such as round trophy bases, and comes as a self-adhesive label. The standard size for trophy plates is 65mm x 20mm, but it can be made to any size.
