Scope of Work
Engrave into coarse granite pavers Welcome/Acknowledgement of Country in the local Dharug dialect and English translation for a new primary school in Macquarie Park. The message of welcome that will see thousands of aspiring children walk, run and dance across it for decades to come.
Premier Awards provides professional stone engraving services for historical and cultural projects. Our expertise includes engraving detailed line drawings, text, and interpretive artwork into granite and other durable stone pavers. These projects often form part of public walkways, city landmarks, and heritage installations, ensuring that cultural stories and historical landmarks are preserved in a permanent, visually striking form.
We engraved six lines of text over thirty 600 x 400mm solid granite pavers.
Production
The granite pavers, supplied by the construction company, were expertly engraved by our master Craftspeople. The lines of text are carefully laid across multiple pavers for seamless, uninterrupted engraving. We rely on our expert team to line the engraving up on each paver to align the message perfectly.
We used ProBlast SuperTack vinyl mask stencils to adhere to the exfoliated, slip-proof granite pavers, ensuring excellent adhesion and precise masking. The engraving was produced on our AutoBlaster CNC machine, which produces very consistent depths and sharp details. The combined mask and CNC-automated sandblast engraving produces exceptional results, far better than traditional hand etching.
In this job, there was no requirement for paint filling, just a raw natural stone look. The abrasive engraving creates a different tone to the stone surface, creating a subtle yet clear contrast.
Capacity
We have the expertise to manage projects of any scale, from single commemorative pavers to large heritage installations. Whether 10 pavers or 100, our team works efficiently while maintaining consistent quality. With advanced CNC equipment and skilled craftspeople, we deliver projects on time, even under demanding schedules.
Our techniques also allow engraving on exfoliated and naturally textured stone. Using specialised masking materials and controlled sandblasting, we achieve sharp, detailed results where traditional methods often struggle. This ensures imagery and graphics remain clear and consistent across different stone finishes.
From artwork preparation through to blasting, paint-filling, and finishing, every stage is handled with precision. This balance of craftsmanship and efficiency enables Premier Awards to deliver heritage engraving projects of all sizes for public and cultural spaces across Australia.
