Sublimation is a printing method that uses heat and pressure to transfer dye onto specially coated surfaces, such as special coated metal. Unlike traditional printing, where ink sits on the surface, sublimation converts solid dye particles into a gas without passing through the liquid stage, producing vibrant, high-resolution results.

Sublimation metal printing is not designed or recommended for outdoors. The UV light from the sun will fade it over time. In an uncovered area with direct sunlight, the print may fade in 6 months. In a shaded area, you'd get longer, maybe 2-3 years. For longer outdoor life, use DuraSub.

Yes, Sublimation printing creates vibrant colours and with close PMS matching. Sublimation printing has a translucent quality about it, which means it picks up tones from the metal substrate such as gold and silver. This means, whilst we can get very close to PMS colours, exact matches may not be possible.

Absolutely. Sublimation delivers photo-quality printing, making it ideal for signage with detailed graphics, logos, and images.

Yes. Sublimation plates can be cut to most sizes and shapes to suit your specific project requirements. Straight cuts to any size. Special shapes (non-straight) would incur extra charges.

Yes, sublimated plates are designed for indoor use. They are scratch-resistant thanks to the polyester coating, and incredibly long-lasting when not exposed to direct sunlight. 

Sublimation plates can be cut to any size up to 500 x 300mm
