About Embedment’s

Embedments are items encased in clear resin castings, allowing almost any object to be embedded into virtually any shape. They are commonly used for memorabilia preservation, promotional items, and in the financial sector as Financial Tombstones or Deal Toys - custom pieces created to commemorate mergers, acquisitions, and other financial milestones.

What are Resin Embedments?

Resin Embedments are objects encased in clear, durable resin to create a visually appealing, preserved display. They’re commonly used for Financial Milestones, corporate awards, deal toys, memorabilia, and promotional items.

What can’t be embedded?

Most items can be embedded, but here are some that can’t:

  • Oily items such as coal (but we make an imitation piece for you)
  • Oil-based paint. Acrylic-based paint is ok.
  • Wet or organic materials that haven’t been dried or preserved
  • Heat-sensitive items: wax, some plastics such as polycarbonates (DVDs)
  • Silicone items, such as those made of silicone, repel resin.
  • Pressurised items (batteries, aerosol cans)
  • Flammable, toxic, or chemically reactive substances

Anything else should be fine. If you're unsure whether a specific item can be embedded, it's always best to test a sample first or consult with a professional resin caster.

What can be embedded?

You can embed a wide variety of items, including:

  • Logos, coins, medals
  • Rocks
  • Metal items
  • Business cards, documents
  • Dried flowers, shells, and sand
  • Electronics (non-functioning and safe)
  • Custom 3D objects and product samples
  • Laminated Paper

Can you guarantee the safety of my item?

While we take every precaution to handle your items with care and use proven techniques for safe embedding, we cannot guarantee the safety of irreplaceable or sentimental items once they are immersed in the resin process. Resin casting involves heat and chemical reactions that may cause unexpected changes such as discolouration, distortion, or chemical incompatibility.

For valuable or one-of-a-kind items, we strongly recommend:

  • Testing with a replica or sample, if possible
  • Providing a duplicate, especially for sentimental pieces
  • Consulting us in advance to assess risk and feasibility

Our team will advise you honestly on whether your item is a good candidate for embedding.

Can you print our financial transaction document and embed it?

We sure can. Email the file to use and we will print it onto special acetate. You can have clear, white or fully coloured background.

What is the material used for embedment’s and is it crystal clear?

We use high quality UV treated polyester resin or epoxy resin for casting embedments.

We use high quality, optically clear resin with UV protection. It offers excellent clarity and can be polished to a glass-like finish.

What shapes and sizes are available?

Almost any shape is possible, such as blocks, domes, pyramids, cylinders, or custom contours. Sizes range from small paperweights to large desktop or wall pieces.

Can embedments be customized?

Absolutely! Options include:

  • Full-colour printing or engraving
  • Custom tinting or coloured layers
  • Multi-item or 3D layout displays
  • Branding with logos, text, or deal information

How long does production take?
